I am a Communication scholar. I’m curious about how people understand and use communication technologies. I focus my research primarily on questions related to the internet and media, and I specialize in the area of electronic security and privacy. Although I work with computer scientists as part of my National Science Foundation IGERT Fellowship, I approach questions of privacy from the aspect of a social scientist. Poke around the page to find out more about me and my work.

You can find me at the University of Illinois at Chicago where I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Communication. At UIC I also work as a Research Assistant to Professor Zizi Papacharissi, and as her Editorial Associate for the Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media and the Editorial Assistant for the all new, open access Social Media and Society. In the fall, I will be an adjunct instructor at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
